Vías Lab is a transdisciplinary space built through dynamic exchanges. Starting from collaborative listening, we invite participants into a creative process of questioning and discovery, in pursuit of transcendence. How can art help us foster non-rational connections and propel us beyond the mundane?
Five days – Five chapters: Movement, Fluid Perception, Links, Collective Risks, and Becoming a “Vía” (vessel in Spanish). This cross-cultural workshop is designed to welcome participants from diverse disciplines, both artistic and non-artistic, who are eager to delve into the depths of imagination and acquire tools for navigating transdisciplinary creative processes in a playful environment.

Vías - Diana León & Paco Ziel
Vías is a transdisciplinary company based in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal that challenges how live art engages the audience. Its work is anchored in the idea of art as a means of transcendence, therefore, it seeks to design transformative experiences that nurture non-rational connections and venture beyond the mundane.
Born in Mexico City, Paco Ziel studied at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec. He danced with the RUBBERBAND company for ten years and has worked with other Montreal artists and companies such as PPS Danse, Anne Plamondon and Martin Messier. Paco has been a guest teacher at Springboard Danse Montréal, Transformation, Domaine Forget, l'École supérieure de ballet du Québec and l'École de danse de Québec. Paco co-directs the company Vías with Diana León and was involved in the production of Sur ce chemin, tu es sûr de te perdre, Sabor de mi corazón, and Flesh and Sound. He is a self-taught filmmaker, photographer and electroacoustic composer.
Performer, choreographer and teacher Diana León was born in Mexico City. She studied at the Estudio de Ballet Tecamachalco, the National Ballet School in Cuba and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Diana danced with the National Dance Company of Mexico before joining Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, where she danced for five years. She was a member of the multidisciplinary Quantum Collective and has worked as a performer with choreographers such as Martin Messier, Anne Plamondon, Andrew Skeels, Sylvain Émard, Louise Bédard, Morgane Letiec and Caroline Laurin-Beaucage. Alongside Paco Ziel, Diana co-directs the company Vías and was involved in the production of Sur ce chemin, tu es sûr de te perdre, Sabor de mi corazón, and Flesh and Sound.
