Creation Laboratory - Harmonies of a Suspended World

In a world where reality and imagination merge, music sets the rhythm for emotions and gestures become language. Human relationships oscillate between passionate love, rivalries, and conflicts, where humor defuses tensions and love guides hearts.

Jérémy Galdeano

Born in Nîmes, France, Jérémy Galdeano graduated from the École Nationale de Danse de Marseille. He began his career as an apprentice at the Ballet National de Marseille before joining Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in 2001, where he spent 19 years, eventually becoming a principal soloist. His diverse repertoire includes pieces by Mats Ek, Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Didy Veldman, Christian Spuck, Jean Christophe Maillot, Shen Wei, Stephan Thoss, Nacho Duato, Stijn Celis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Garrett Smith, Edward Clug, and Étienne Béchard, among others. Alongside his dance career, Jérémy has also created several works for the company's choreographic workshops, which have been presented in Montreal, Germany, and Mexico.

In 2020, after a busy career with Les Grands Ballets, Jérémy chose to devote himself fully to choreography and teaching. He also served as rehearsal director for the Cas Public dance company until 2023. Together with Vera Kvarkacova, they form a dynamic choreographic duo. Their creation "DOMA" was a great success, being included in the mixed program "Parlami d'Amore" by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in May 2019, and being selected for prestigious events such as the DAC Carte Blanche 2019 in Montreal and the Noverre-Young Choreographers' Evening at the Stuttgart Ballet. They were finalists in the Hannover International Choreographic Competition 2020 and invited to HANGARTFEST in Italy. Their work was also selected for the Future Dance Festival 92Y in New York, where they presented "DOMA" at the Joyce Theater as part of the Martha Graham Company season. Their short film "DOMA" won Best Dance Video at Rio WebFest 2019 and was honored as Best Dance Short Film at the Queen Palm International Film Festival 2020. Their creation ZABA, made during the 2020 lockdown, was selected for the Festival Interfaccia Digitale. They also co-created "Solo pour Trois" for the Grands Ballets gala. In June 2021, their creation "FOMO" was presented at the National Theatre Mannheim in Germany and at the Quartiers Danses Festival in Montreal, where it was awarded Best Indoor Show. In 2022, "DOMA" was performed in Houston and Austin (USA) with the Ishida Dance Company. In June 2023, their creation BLÍZ was presented at the National Theatre Mannheim in Germany. In January 2024, Jérémy created "You look strange_You look happy" for the Ishida Dance Company in Austin, Texas. In March 2024, they presented their brand new creation, "Nebe," with Les Grands Ballets during the mixed program "Soirée Cantata."

In June 2024, during the finals of the young choreographers' competition organized by the Malandain Ballet Biarritz, they won a Creation and Diffusion Award from the CCN-Ballet de l'opéra national du Rhin and the Dance Professionals Award. To conclude their 2024 season, they presented their latest creation, "Doma Stories," accompanied by "BLÍZ," in Hukvaldy (Czech Republic) during the Leos Janáček International Music Festival.
