Techniques classes - Rhythmic Fluidity

My class is based on principles of Release technique, Limon, functional anatomy. I combine my love of floor work, an expansive conquest of space, musical sensitivity and my eternal search for the essence. The core of my work is kinesthetic pleasure. We will start by letting ourselves be moved by the weight and momentum on the floor, slowly. We will work on the precision of the paths and on the breath. We will accelerate… we will gain momentum, our heart will race. We will establish our verticality. We will let ourselves be crossed by the flow, this balance between musicality, momentum, mastery, abandonment. We will honor the spirals, the amplitude. Balance is constantly put to the test by playing with the loss of visual cues. We will focus on proprioception. We will come to complex rhythms and weight transfers, we will invest in space. We will play with the passage of the center through all the levels, the turns, the jumps. Physicality is deployed by trying to keep the more subtle sensations alive.

This quote from Isabelle Ginot has been with me for a long time:

We would then ask ourselves what body it is urgent to produce; what theoretical discourse would be capable of inventing a conscious body but also capable of unconsciousness, a body of action and a resistant body, a plastic body and an unshakeable body. We would wonder if it is possible to value the perceptive modes of low intensities, control, calm and detachment, without giving up such a warlike, delirious and uncontrollable body.
