Born in 1975. Dancing officially entered Adi’s life at the age of six. Since then she lives and breathes this profession.
Adi has experienced various aspects of the dance world at the utmost professional level.
Adi is an independent choreographer, and is invited to create for dance companies and different dance projects. Her creations are performed worldwide.
Adi was the Co-Artistic Director of The Batsheva Dance Company together with Ohad Naharin, for 8 years, 2009-2017.
With her reputation as an internationally acclaimed dance educator and director, she is mentoring dancers from the whole range of the dance world.
With 27 years of professional career, Adi gathered her insights and inputs and formed the approach which resonants in her classes : LIM /Life Is Moving. The name says it all...
The LIM session offers the opportunity to explore and refine the connection and understanding of how to enhance, sense and present movement. She invites you to dive into the endless depths and spread your wings into the open distance.
Her journey in the dance world started at the prestigious Israeli Bat-Dor Dance School, where she was a student for 12 years, and she graduated with excellence from Alon High School for the Arts. Upon graduation she was accepted to join the Young Batsheva Ensemble, and two years later was invited to join the main Batsheva Company where she danced for 5 successful years. After leaving the company, Ohad Naharin invited her to act as his main assistant and to stage his repertoire for leading companies around the world.
As a senior certified Gaga Technique teacher, she taught Gaga Dancers & People classes and was the Artistic Director for several Gaga intensive courses.
Adi has been the head of the dance department of Thelma-Yellin, a leading High School of the Arts in Israel, since September 2019 till Aug 2020.
Adi has B.Ed from The Faculty of the Arts at Kibbutzim College of Education.
